Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Haulora collects, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It covers the Haulora website and dashboard. Who operates Haulora
Haulora is built and run by a single independent developer, not a company or registered business. That individual is the one responsible for the data described in this policy - there is no separate corporate entity, data protection officer, or formal support team behind the service. See our Terms of Service for what this also means for the availability of your account.
What information we collect
When you sign in with Steam, we receive your Steam ID, display name, and avatar. If you link a Discord or Twitch account, we receive the corresponding account ID and, where relevant, your username. We do not receive your email address or any payment information from these providers. You may also voluntarily add profile information such as your country, a short description, and social links. If you use the desktop tracker plugin, it can send an error report (including the game's log for that session) when the plugin itself runs into a problem; see the Data & Logging Policy for what a report contains and how to turn it off. When you use the website, our servers keep a short technical log of each page request: the time, the page address (without any search or filter terms), the result, how long it took, your account ID if you are signed in, and a shortened IP address (the last part is removed, so it points to a network rather than to you). We use this log only to keep the site secure and to find and fix problems.
How we use your information
We use this information to operate your account and dashboard, to support company (VTC) membership and management features, to calculate leaderboards and statistics, and to moderate the community in line with our Terms of Service and community rules. We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
We process your account data because it is necessary to provide the service you've signed up for (performance of a contract), and in some cases because we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing the platform. We do not rely on consent-based processing for marketing, because we do not carry out marketing processing of this kind.
Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only where necessary to run the service - for example with our hosting provider, and with Steam/Discord/Twitch as the OAuth providers you chose to authenticate with. We do not share your data with advertising networks or data brokers.
Data retention & deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. Error reports from the tracker plugin are deleted automatically after 30 days. Website request logs are deleted automatically after 14 days. You can reset your progress or permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. Deleting your account removes your profile data; some aggregate, non-identifying statistics may be retained for platform integrity.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly from your account settings, or by reaching out to us on our Discord server, linked from your dashboard once you've signed in.
Children's privacy
Haulora is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction to consent to this kind of service.
International transfers
Depending on where our infrastructure is hosted, your data may be processed outside of your home country. Where that applies, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
